Corrections Policy

FinePrint publishes original research built on primary documents: contracts, FOIA returns, meeting minutes, and public filings. We work hard to get it right, and when we get something wrong, we fix it quickly and say so.

How to request a correction.

If you believe anything we have published is inaccurate, email corrections@fineprint.report. Tell us the specific statement, why you believe it is wrong, and point us to documentation if you have it. Requests from the subjects of our reporting are welcome and taken seriously.

What happens next.

We review every request against the underlying documents. If we got it wrong, we correct the piece within 48 hours of confirming the error, and we log the correction below with the date and what changed. If the record supports what we published, we will tell you that too, and why.

Material errors vs. minor fixes.

Corrections that change the substance of a claim are logged here and noted on the affected page. Typos and formatting fixes that do not change meaning are made silently.

Statements from subjects.

Organizations and agencies we report on may send us a statement at any time. We publish statements in full, unedited, alongside the relevant reporting.
